How To Connect With Your Tribe

This week, I had the opportunity to be a guest on a podcast where we delved into the fascinating topic of tribes and the profound impact they have on our lives.

I did a download in a video to open this one up further, read along or check out the video below. I wanted to share some valuable insights that emerged during our discussion, as they can greatly contribute to fulfilling your connections.

As humans, we possess an innate desire to be part of a tribe or community. This need for connection and belonging is a healthy aspect of our lives. However, alongside this desire lies a core fear of being rejected by the tribe. This fear stems from our origins as spiritual beings transitioning into vulnerable human bodies.

From the moment we are born, we are acutely aware that our survival depends on receiving love and care from others. This deep-seated belief in our dependency on others for survival lingers within us, even as we grow older.

Unless we consciously work through it, this energy continues to influence our lives and keeps us stuck in the notion that we are incomplete without the approval and acceptance of others.

To break free from this cycle, it is crucial to disconnect ourselves from the idea of needing one specific thing or person in life. Attachment, in any form, limits our growth and hinders our ability to experience true freedom. Our highest and truest selves exist in a state of unattachment, flowing with acceptance for all aspects of life. Therefore, my suggestion is to detach yourself from the need for a tribe altogether.

By disconnecting from the survival-based fear that you won't survive without a tribe's love and acceptance, as well as the belief that your worth is determined by others' opinions, you can rediscover a sense of self-sufficiency. Embracing the idea that you are complete and capable of navigating life on your own sets the stage for a transformative journey.

When you find peace within your own being, acknowledging that you are whole and self-reliant, you gain the power to connect with others authentically. You no longer feel the pressure to conform or change yourself to fit in. Instead, you approach interactions from a place of self-assuredness and love. This conquering of fear allows you to show up fully, embracing your true essence, and deriving genuine joy from your connections.

Reaching this state of self-acceptance is undoubtedly a process. However, imagine the immense value of this journey. How often do we find ourselves suppressing our true selves to fit into a friendship circle or altering our behavior to seek approval? These experiences only lead to unhappiness, dissatisfaction, and a lack of fulfillment.

When you truly know yourself and operate from a place of self-acceptance, you naturally attract a tribe that aligns with your authentic selfPeople who resonate with your vibration and have also embarked on their own journey of self-discovery will enter your life. This upgraded tribe will bring you joy, growth, and mutual support as you continue to explore your authentic selves together.

Creating this tribe consciously and intentionally is crucial. Attempting to build connections from a place of fear will only drain your energy and yield unsatisfying results. Therefore, it will be really empowering as your first step to break free from attachments and release the need for external validation, be it from parents or friends.

Embracing your self-sufficiency empowers you to cultivate connections based on authenticity and love. By undertaking this transformative process, you unlock true freedom, peace, and the ability to live life on your own terms. Each moment becomes an opportunity for self-discovery and growth, as you embrace your unique existence.

No longer will you waste energy conforming to others' expectations, but instead, you'll radiate your genuine self. It'll be worth the energy that you've put into the peace and the freedom that you will get when you do it in this way, it's worth the journey.
